From darkness...
Hi, my name is Kristy. At just 12 years of age, I began using drugs. Deep down, I had a strong desire for acceptance and drugs made me feel like someone other than who I was.
This spiraled into 16 dark years that cost me everything I held dear, including my beautiful children. I eventually lost any sense of who I was as a person. In 2011, at the end of my rope, I finally found help at Teen Challenge Columbus.
To light...
During my time at Teen Challenge, Jenny Hill really poured into me and was the first person I felt I could truly trust and open my heart to. It was through her that I saw the love of Jesus.
I have had to face many difficult consequences from my sin, but the Lord has been faithful to bring me through them with a greater understanding of His goodness and mercy.
I have been free from my life of addiction for over 15 years now, praise the Lord! "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36)
Since coming to know the Lord, it has been my desire and dream to lead other women into the freedom I have experienced.
By His great mercy, I now serve as the Residential Director for The Covering, and have been blessed with a wonderful husband and family! But the greatest part of my new life is my relationship with Jesus Christ. He truly is my best Friend!
